Biography
Alan was the third keeper signed by The Loons during the 04/05 season, as previous goalkeeping cover had vanished back to their respective clubs sooner than expected!
The then 17 year old keeper was released by Livingston when Ray Stewart enquired about his availability, and made his Loons debut in a Reserve League Cup penalty shoot out win against Hamilton Accies – saving 3 penalties in the process! Allan went on to make his first team debut the following Saturday.
Standing at 6ft 4, the young keeper started his footballing career as an outfield player for his local club Claremont FC (East Kilbride) as a kid before making the move into the goals. Spells in youth systems of Dundee United and Motherwell saw Allan return to Claremont before training with Albion Rovers and subsequently joining Livingston’s U-16 side… soon followed by promotion to the U-18 side.
Allan has also sat on the bench for the Livi first team and posses phenomenal kicking power.
Alan made 6 first team starts before being released during season 04/05. Moved onto Albion Rovers
