Biography
Dunfermline goalkeeper Sean Murdoch had 2nd loan spell with the Loons, spending the majority of the 2005/06 season on loan at Station Park. Having forced aside Francios Dubourdaeu from the no.1 spot, Sean went on to prove himself as a more than capable shop stopper – so much so that one of George Shaw’s first moves as manager at the start of the 06/07 season, was to contract Dunfermline with a view to taking Sean back on loan once again. Sean duly returned to Station Park, having signed a new long term deal with the SPL side, a deal that could give Sean the chance to prove himself as the Pars’ no.1 keeper.
A powerful keeper, despite his slight frame, Sean combined efficient and precise handling with good commanding of his area and excellent shot stopping reactions.
Returned to Dunfermline ahead of schedule following an injury to Pars keeper Doruc De Vries at the end of December 2006.
